The Challenge

What: In May 2010, I vow to move in a new way each day.

Who: Me! And maybe you, if you want to come along for the ride (or, I should say, "propel yourself in new and odd ways.")

Why: I like challenges. Particularly time-limited ones that humor my short attention span. I realized a few months ago that most of what I do is out of habit. If I can force myself to break or change my habits, even for a short period of time, I can experience a wider range of what's available in the world, and then make more informed decisions about how I spend my time.

The Inspiration: Those #30daysofbiking folks really piqued my interest. But really, finding an old pair of rollerblades in my parents' garage (and then taking them out for a spin) reminded me that I was way more creative and adventurous with my movement as a kid...and there's no reason I shouldn't be now.
